This e-learning course was designed for Aquatics Staff at Atlantic Fitness East and is delivered to staff through a CoursePark Learning Network. It provides an overview of safety supervision in the aquatic environment for swimming instructors.
The target audience for this course is youth ages 15 – 17 years. I researched and wrote the content for this course as well as built the course using Storyline.
Content was divided into safety considerations before, during and after delivering a swimming lesson. Interactive activities such as a hot spot click and display, which allowed swimming instructors to explore potential behaviour issues that may occur in a swimming lesson environment were included to encourage engagement with the course content. The course concluded with a short assessment of learner knowledge.
